This is the Birmingham Rotunda, completed in 1965.

The cityscape photograph is taken from the top of the Rotunda.
The tower is the Post Office Tower. Construction commenced in July 1963 and was completed in September 1965, so this picture was probably 1965.

The people are Nora and Paul Fitzgerald. The really thin man with big hands is Jim, just like I used to be.
